LITTLE Jack Harper is a happy lad after his favourite toy, a £250 adventure playground, was returned.
The two-year-old, of Lichfield Avenue, Tonge Moor, was delighted when he saw the multi-coloured plastic set again after thieves stole it two weeks ago.
The BEN put in an appeal from his mother, Vicki Stirling, asking for its return and days later the playground reappeared.
Vicki's mother said a group of young children brought the dismantled set back to the house. She said they would not give any details of where they found it.
The 24-year-old, who lives with her partner Ian, said: "We were just happy to get the climbing frame back.
"Jack has been very happy. He had his friends around yesterday and they were all really enjoying playing on it.
"We just want to say thank you to the BEN, because I don't think we would have got it back without their help."
The thieves struck at the end of terraced house one Saturday, in the early hours. The only piece of equipment they left was one unsafe, lopsided slide.
