I WAS shocked to hear that the Royal Bolton Hospital was voted the poorest hospital in town.
I have nothing but admiration for the hospital and staff.
I myself was rushed into Casualty in November, seriously ill with septicaemia. I was in for a week. I waited six hours for a bed, but the nursing staff were excellent. They found me a bed eventually on the Medical Assessment Unit, then on to B3 under the care of Dr Bene.
Nothing was too much trouble, the poor nurses were rushed off their feet.
Then in March this year, my husband collapsed with a heart attack. He was in Coronary Care for three days, then on to C3 for another three days. The staff were again excellent, especially doctors Scott and Lipscomb.
As far as I'm concerned, the Royal Bolton Hospital should be voted the top hospital in Bolton, and the nurses and doctors the angels of Bolton.
