FIRST impressions have prompted Rod Wallace to look for a long-term link-up with Wanderers.
The former Rangers striker, who has made an instant impact on his return to the Premiership, says he is hoping to extend his contract, which only runs until the end of the season.
"I hope I can earn a new contract before the end of the season," he said. "I'm surprised the way it has gone. I didn't think I would be involved as much."
Sam Allardyce gave 31-year-old Wallace his full debut against Sunderland at the weekend after seeing him make a fairytale start to his Bolton career, coming off the subs' bench to score in the 1-1 draw at Blackburn then setting up Michael Ricketts' dramatic equaliser at Arsenal
