THE three Junior Latics teams are well-placed in their respective age groups after all three of them recorded great wins at the weekend.

Paul Gregory, in the under 16s, bagged a high five and Daniel Mahoney netted a hat trick for the under 15s.

In the under 13s Section A they top the league after a thrilling win over previously unbeaten North Walkden with a very good all round team performance.

Moss Bank toppled the leaders in the under 18s with a Grimshaw brace and there were good wins for Lads Club, Atherton Colls, Turton and Oldham Royals who shared the points with Monton Amateurs in an exciting two all draw.

Park Villa stay top of the under 16s Section A with four wins out of four, overcoming local rivals Bolton Celtic with an inter-league star performance and a brace of goals from Chris Merrit.

In B Section there were good wins for Bolton County, Turton B and Lads Club.

Good wins

A number of players scored hat tricks in the under 15s, Price and Rogers of AFC, Montgomery of Lads Club and Walsh, Whiteside and Norris in Bolton Eagles' emphatic win at Turton.

There were good wins for Hindley and Turton in the under 14s and Martindales and Radcliffe Boro in their LFA cup encounters.

The outstanding all round team performance came from Lads Club who played with 10 men for most of their LFA cup campaign and came up trumps with a Thomas brace and a Simon Luczka hat trick.

In the under 13s section B Lads Club are still unbeaten after their great 6-2 win over Highfield and Bromley Cross and Deans Youth are still riding high with a Starkey double brace and a Brookes' hat trick for the Cross while prolific goalscorer Harry Hibbert bagged a hat trick in Deans' win.

County Eagles gained top spot in the under 12s A Section after overpowering Leigh RMI and are still unbeaten as are CMB Jnrs, Aspull Jnrs and Oxford Grove in the B section.

There are a number of teams vying for top spot in the under 11s which makes this division interesting and exciting.

The under 16s Inter League are playing the Wigan League tonight at Robin Park kick-off 8pm.
