HARD working fundraisers wish to say a big thank you to all those who supported them on a cycling marathon.
An eight-strong team of fitness fanatics from Lostock Leisure Club clocked-up 646 miles during a non-stop sponsored exercise bike ride earlier this year.
They raised a grand total of £1,442 which has been donated for research into the rare disorder Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).
Luciana Wulkan, aged three, from Astley Bridge, suffers from the illness which turns soft tissue in the body to bone until a second skeleton forms.
Her parents, Sandro and Pina, aim to raise as much money as possible for research into the illness in the hope that a cure will eventually be found.
Rob Stewart from Lostock Leisure said: "We need to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us.
"We're really pleased with the amount raised and hope to hold another charity event at Christmas."
