A MAN suffered a head injury after he was involved in a road accident in Darcy Lever early today.
Jonathon Hull, aged 21, was walking across Radcliffe Road, near its junction with Lever Bridge Place, when he was in collision with with a car.
The victim, of Hunstanton Drive, Bury, was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital, where he was being treated today.
Stephen Holden, aged 22, of Hope Avenue was the driver of the Fiat Bravo. He was unhurt and his vehicle was slightly damaged.
Police are appealing for another motorist who swerved just before the accident, which happened at 12.05am, to contact them.
Sgt Ken Carter, of the Bolton Traffic Unit, said: "We believe this driver, who drove past the site of the accident just seconds before, could be a vital witness.
"Also, if anyone else was at the scene at the time, who may have seen something from their bedroom window, please call us."
