THE call has gone out for big-hearted pupils to come forward for recognition as part of a national award presentation.
The annual 'Tesco Our School Awards' will be held at the London Aquarium on Monday, November 29.
The awards aim to recognise outstanding contributions pupils have made to school life.
The categories include the Working Together Award which rewards pupils who have worked as a team, the Computers for Schools Award and the Young Scientist Award.
Last year awards were made to pupils for a range of good work from setting up an anti-bullying club to helping their school by growing organic vegetables.
The ceremony will be co-hosted by Pepsi Chart Show DJ Dr Fox and as a special prize anyone who nominates a classmate for an award on-line by logging on to www.pepsichart.co.uk will be entered into a prize draw with the prize being a school disco hosted by the good Dr Fox.
Organiser Tesco say there is still time to enter and children should ask their teachers to register for an information pack by calling 01992 644564.
The closing date for entries is Friday, October 26.
