Farnworth Anglers: Open Match, Gorsepit - The introduction of 1,000 carp and 250 tench into a Gorsepit water which is a rarely used venue for matches meant that a decent turn out of 17 anglers enjoyed good sport with a variety of methods. The winner taking three tench and a crusian on the pole with bread punch. Patricroft AC: Aggregate match - Meadowbank, River Weaver. Bolton Rivers AC: Empress Cup - Doe Hey Bottom Water. Fallen leaves caused problems for the pole lads who could only fish half a match. The winner took perch and big skimmers on pellet. Royal Ashton: Winter League Match - Rumworth Reservoir.
