THE Greater Manchester Fire Service fund in aid of their New York counterparts who perished in the World Trade Centre atrocities is being swelled by Wanderers' Premiership stars.
The players' donations are being boosted by bids for lots in a BEN auction which is being extended for a week. Among the bids received to date are £50 for Dean Holdsworth's shirt from Nigel Hargreaves of Kirkby Central; £50 from Wanderers' fan Paul Wild for Colin Hendry's shirt; £50 from Matthew, Melissa and Jenny Moore for Michael Ricketts' shirt and Gudni Bergsson's shirt has attracted a £50 bid from David Heath.
All the shirts have been signed by the Wanderers' players and bids are still being taken on 01204 361268 or by e-mail to Sports Editor Peter Mensforthon:
