AN advertising campaign which urges people to "Respect the Bread" prompted this stunt in Wythenshawe Park, Manchester.
Bolton-based Warburtons have screened a TV advertisement which shows a mother and son refusing to share their crusts with the ducks in a park.
Our picture shows the scene in Manchester when Warburtons representatives formed a "bread protection force" and suggested to locals that they should not feed the ducks.
David Price, Sales Manager at Warburtons, said: "We asked parkgoers to 'respect the bread.' After all, 125 years' experience goes into every Warburtons loaf and they were just throwing our delicious crusts to the ducks.
"We could not bear to see this going on, so we offered them duck feed to use instead." Similar stunts are planned in parks up and down the country.
