INDIE band Starsailor -- fronted by Chorley's James Walsh -- went straight into the album charts at number two with their very first release this week.
And only the Queen of Pop Kylie Minogue with 'Fever' kept the tipped-for-the-top band off the number one spot!
Starsailor's 'Love is Here' album has been selling like hot cakes.
Malcolm Allen, of Malcolm's Musicland, Chapel Street, revealed: "It was obviously our best seller on Monday. Sales were continual all day."
Malcolm said he sold 55 after the album went on sale on Monday and another 20 on Tuesday morning.
He added: "I have been in this game long enough to know how to cover it, but if it keeps selling at the rate it has been, I will have to restock.
"Because there was 'An Audience with Kylie' on television on Saturday night, that's keeping the ball rolling for her.
"If it wasn't for Kylie, Starsailor would be number one."
James, 21, a former pupil of St Michael's CE High School, is ahead of Paul Weller though, whose album 'Days of Speed' is at number three in the midweek charts. Starsailor's first top ten hit single 'Alcoholic' went in at number 10 less than a fortnight ago.
Malcolm added: "I would have thought the album is going to be in the top twenty selling albums for the rest of the year.
