I HAVE been traumatised, amazed and gobsmacked!
Last week, I lost a purse, containing quite a lot of money, outside the Home Bargain shop in Bolton. The shop assistant, who was more than helpful, assisted me to search for the purse, in vain.
The following Wednesday (October 10) I went into the same shop when the assistant remembered me and said that my purse had been handed in by a lady.
As usual, with good deed people, she didn't leave a name or she could have half the contents of the purse.
Before I am accused of being a cynical, sour person to have so little faith in human nature, what about people taking flowers off graves? I knew a respectable person who took a toilet roll from a free public toilet.
That is why this incident with my purse shines like a light in the darkness.
