DR Keatley Adams spelt it out in black and white in the BEN on Wednesday, October 10 -- we are in trouble.
So instead of our councillors and MPs sitting at home on their computers (that we as taxpayers paid for), totting up their fees for this year so far, they should be saying "yes" we will give the £433,000 to Dr Adams towards the cost of a scanner to benefit the people of Bolton.
It's about time they started to work for the people of Bolton who elected them in the first place; do something concrete for a change.
They are driving people away from Bolton with the parking fees, but that doesn't stop people going to our hospital for help.
The vast profits that must be being made from parking fees, selling off the land of our old large houses and schools should be working for every person in Bolton.
My friend in America can go to her GP and see a consultant the same day, and be in hospital in two days. I know because she's done it recently. I'm going to have my flu jab because I dread the thought of waiting on a trolley, and I like the colour of my grey hair which could go silver waiting.
So councillors and MPs, do the job which you are being well paid for, many of you must have been drawing your old age pension for quite a while, which will no doubt cover the cost of your private health care.
