VULNERABLE adults and older people in Bolton who may be being mistreated, abused or harmed should receive better protection.
Guidelines have been revised following the publication of the Department of Health's "No Secrets" document last year.
They have been drawn up to ensure that Bolton Council, Health Trusts, Bolton Community College and Greater Manchester Police are working together to protect the vulnerable and offer them the best possible care.
"The new procedures are a comprehensive guide to ensure that people get the help that they need," said Cllr Cliff Morris, executive member for Social Services and Health.
"We already work together but there is always room for improvement."
