THE Bolton Festival Committee have been evaluating the Festival of 2001 for all aspects .
The Festival provided a wide range of events that attracted many people to them. It was obvious from the numbers who attended or took part that events such as the Family History Day at Smithills Hall and the Tudor Day at Hall i'th'Wood appealed to all ages.
Links between the town of Paderborn were strengthened by the visit of young people from there. An estimated 25,000 people attended the Festival.
In order that the people of Bolton should be able to enjoy a successful festival in 2002 the Committee is holding an open meeting for people to contribute ideas on Monday, October 29, in the Town Hall.
If any reader is interested in attending please could they ring the Festival Office 334115 or email on bolton.festival@bolton.gov uk to give their name and any organisation they represent .
