ARTIM SAKIRI is determined to seal his dream move to Bolton Wanderers, after being buoyed by the news that Sam Allardyce is fighting his way through the red tape to bring the Macedonian international to England.

As Macedonia are not ranked in the top 70 international sides by Fifa, Bolton's request for a work permit was refused by the Home Office, and the deal looked dead and buried.

However, Allardyce admitted he would battle to bring the NK Gorica midfielder to The Reebok Stadium, and now the player has taken the matter into his own hands by terminating his contract with his current club.

There is now understood to be a clause within the regulations allowing somebody from outside the top 70 clubs to obtain a work permit, providing they are of world class ability, a captain or a most-capped player.

In the absence of Georgi Hristov and Igor Nikolovski, 28-year-old Sakiri captained Macedonia in the match with Slovakia.

The wide man is also one of the most-capped players currently performing for his country, and he expects everything to be positively resolved by Wednesday.

Gorica have not protested against terminating his contract, as they have financial problems and will still get some of the transfer sum for their biggest asset.
