A MAN who broke into a dry cleaning shop was caught hiding in a hut nearby, a court heard yesterday.
Anthony White was found in a workman's hut close to Berger Cleaners on Bury Old Road, Prestwich, but denied he had been involved in the break-in.
Police later caught him in the grounds of a hospital with a screwdriver and a pair of tin snips.
White, aged 33, of Bannerman Avenue in Prestwich, appeared at Bolton Crown Court for sentence. He had earlier admitted burglary, going equipped and failing to surrender to bail.
The court heard White had 488 days outstanding from a previous six year jail sentence imposed in 1996.
Judge John Roberts ordered White to serve 15 months outstanding from his previous sentence and jailed him for a total of two years for the current offences.
