LINDSAY Hoyle, Labour MP for Chorley, has spoken of his delight that the Australian Rugby League tour of England will go ahead -- although it has been shortened to three test matches, one of which will be played at the Reebok Stadium.
The tour was in jeopardy when half the Australian squad refused to take part. But after an outcry from rugby league fans and assurances over security, the Australians have decided to fly to England. The tour includes a test match at the Reebok Stadium next month.
