PAUL Wheatcroft, Wanderers' on-loan striker, put Rochdale back to the top of the Third Division table after they became the first side to stop Luton from scoring this season snatching a 1-0 win at Kenilworth Road.
Wheatcroft's 39th-minute strike ended the Hatters' unbeaten home record and the Dale defence ensured Town failed to score for the first time this season.
