WOMEN in the North-west are taking part in a nationwide drugs trial to find out if a new chemotherapy regime can improve survival for women with breast cancer.
The Cancer Research Campaign today launched the TACT trial, which will involve women across the North-west and will study the new type of chemotherapy called Taxotere -- which doctors have used with considerable success to extend the lives of women with advanced breast cancer.
The trial will look at whether this drug will improve survival rates of women with less advanced cancer.
