A DOOR was damaged at a Bolton community centre after arsonists set fire to rubbish left outside.
Police called fire crews to Sunnyside Community Centre in Moisant Street, Great Lever, at 8.30pm last night.
Bin bags thought to contain rubbish left over from a party held in the community centre that day had been set alight. The fire slightly damaged a roller shutter door and smoke-logged the community centre.
Station officer Dave Pimblett, from Bolton Central fire station, said: "I am conscious of this sort of thing all over town. People should always be wary of where they leave rubbish."
