Bolton Table Tennis League PREMIER Division champions Ramsbottom A have now opened up a 14 point lead at the top of the table.

They scored a comprehensive 7-2 win over Lostock which included three wins by Mike Moir.

Horwich Sports recorded a resounding 8-1 win on their visit to Ramsbottom C which included trebles by Joe Green and Graham Jeffries. At the bottom end of the table Little Lever won a close match with Wharton 5-4, thanks to a treble by Phil Riley, and Hilton A scraped home by the same scoreline in their home fixture with Ramsbottom B.

New Division One leaders Nomads A, who scored a 5-4 win at Ladybridge and suffered a 6-3 defeat on their visit to Mosses, these results give them a three point advantage at the top of the table but they have played one more match than their rivals, trebles scored in the matches by Craig Johnson for Nomads at Ladybridge and Simon Charnley for Mosses.

Chorley Old Road recorded a 5-4 win at Heaton A thanks to a treble by Steve Williams and Ladybridge won by the same scoreline at H/Hilton C despite a treble by Nigel Shields for Hilton. Wingates A proved too strong for a two man H/Hilton B team, although John Howarth did treble for the Hilton side.

Only two match results received in Division Two from which Wingates B move to the top of the table on the strength of their 8-1 win over Ladybridge B, trebles here for Hannah Roberts and Greg Lee. In the other match Ian Lansdale trebled for Little Lever C who beat Heaton D 6-3.

Hilton C jump to top spot in Division Three following their 7-2 victory over Farnworth. A treble in the match for sub Brian Hall. Heaton E are second on the strength of their 7-2 win over Little Lever, trebles for top ten leader Alan Crompton and John Whittle. Three teams won by a 5-4 scoreline -- Elton E which included a treble by Dave Tobin, Halls over Ladybridge D, a treble here for Geoff Hall and Hilton D at Little Lever D thanks to three wins by Brian Hall, Dennis Hough scored a treble for Ladybridge E in their 6-3 win over Hilton E.

Division Four leaders Jubilee A scored a comprehensive 7-2 win over Memorial Road, and followed this with a 5-4 loss at Ramsbottom. Bhiku Patel trebled for Jubilee in both matches. BEN also played two matches losing to Hilton F 5-4 for whom Steve Roz trebled, and winning 7-2 at Heaton G, which included three wins by veteran Jack Higginbottom. John Birchall Snr trebled for Ladybridge F in their 5-4 win at Hilton G, as did Brian Ingham and Joe Walk for Ramsbottom, and Alan Bradshaw for Hilton H in their respective wins.

Division Five leaders Hilton I scored maximum points against bottom team Ellesmere B, which gives them an 11 point lead at the top of the division. All three Ellesmere B players scored two wins in their 6-3 win over Jubilee to remain in second place. Jason Ganchi scored three wins for Hilton J in their 6-3 win over Meadow Hill C, as did John Pilkington for Hilton K in their 5-4 win at Ladybridge G.
