MICHAEL Hope makes an encore appearance in A Different Way Home at Bolton Little Theatre, from Wednesday, October 31 to Sunday, November 4.
The play by Jimmie Chinn was performed earlier this year to packed audiences in the Forge Theatre at BLT on Hanover Street.
However, the play proved so popular that it is being brought back by popular demand.
Michael will once again resume the leading role and Andrew Close directs.
This is a bittersweet play which features two monologues from members of a family in a small close-knit North of England town. In act one we hear from Leslie who has lived with his mother all his life. He speaks of the events leading up to her death, unwittingly revealing the extent of his bitterness towards his sister, Maureen, with who he has lost touch.
Maureen gives the other side of the story in act two.
The play was professionally premiered at Oldham Coliseum two years ago with Roy Barraclough in the leading role. That production won several major awards, and in this year's BEN theatre awards A Different Way Home was runner-up in best play category.
Performances are at 7.30pm, and tickets are from the Albert Halls Ticket Centre on 334400, and from BLT on 524469 (6pm to 8pm).
