RESIDENTS at Rivington House, Horwich, lined up with cups and saucers to take part in the world's biggest coffee morning.
The event, one of many which took place around the country, was organised to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Speaking on behalf of the scheme, Glenys Appleton, said: "It was a good way to raise money for a worthwhile cause while bringing people together for a cuppa and a chat."
The coffee morning, now in its 10th year, is the most successful fund-raising event for Macmillan Cancer Relief. More than £2 million was raised last year which helps to fund specialist Macmillan nurses and doctors, and buildings for cancer treatment. and grants for patients in financial difficulty. They joined with all 65 New Leaf supporting independence schemes across the country to help make the event a success.
