Wanderers 7 Stalybridge 1
BOLTON Wanderers Ladies returned to league action this weekend, with a comfortable win over Stalybridge Celtic extending their one hundred per cent record.
Wanderers were in control of the match from the start and the play rarely left Stalybridge's half.
From the moment the ball first went in the net on five minutes, it was only a question of how many more would follow.
Consolation
The Bolton goals came from Joanne Fairclough, Ann Truffas, Nabeela Butt, Jeanette Williams and Kim Bain, who completed a second half hat trick.
Stalybridge got a late consolation to give a final score of 7-1 to Bolton.
Jeanette Williams was named as player of the match. Next Sunday, Wanderers travel to play Newcastle from the Northern Combination in the First Round proper of the AXA FA Women's Cup.
Bolton Wanderers Ladies Under 14s took on top of the table Blackpool FC Girls in the Lancashire Girls League.
A closely contested first half saw Wanderers unlucky to trail 3-2 at half time, but Blackpool inched further ahead in the second half to run out 8-3 winners.
Christina Workman scored all three for Bolton.
