I WOULD again like to take advantage of your letters page to say thank you to Asda at Astley Bridge, for allowing us a fund raising day.
We raised £120. Thanks also to everyone who helped us.
I would also like to say thanks to the Jolly Carter Social Club, Church Street, Little Lever, for their raffle, which raised £80.
Fibromyalgia Syndrome is a very debilitating illness which causes a great deal of muscular and nerve pain. But because it is a syndrome, there are also other problems as well. It is incurable as yet, and it doesn't "go away" as some doctors try to make you believe.
The support group is there to help sufferers and their families to come to terms with this illness, and to cope with it, but without fund raisers such as these we would not be able to carry on.
