BEING the subject of a mindless cacophony of noise emanating from 'The Valley' complex between 1pm and 9pm for a whole week, I would wish that the mandarins at Bolton Town Hall consider the term 'consultation' before granting another fairground permission to 'perform' in my locality.
I was totally unaware of the disturbance to my quality of life until greeted with the unpleasant din after lunch this past weekend.
A short phone call to the environmental health the following Monday disclosed that they were as totally unaware of developments as I was.
What may be classed as amusement and recreation to some is a virtual nightmare to others.
I trust I am to receive a reduction in my council tax as a result of having to put up with this council endorsed torture?
I shall be making representations in the strongest possible terms about this fiasco.
Mr W.J. Nelson
