SALES executive Paul Harlick enjoyed a drink at a works event and then volunteered to drive home, Bury magistrates were told.
But he was seen speeding through a junction at 2am in Bury New Road, Whitefield. Police gave chase but lost his car. It was later found in Middleton Drive with three people standing alongside it, including Harlick who said he had been driving.
Harlick, aged 25, of Eastwood Close, Bolton, who was well over twice the legal limit, said it had been a "moment of madness". He admitted drink driving and was fined £500, disqualified for two years and ordered to pay £50 costs.
