I WOULD like through The BEN thank Bolton Wanderers defender Mike Whitlow for keeping his promise and coming up to Morecambe to train our team of 10 yr olds on the 24th October. Mike had promised me in the closed season that he would come up but we thought that as The Whites progressed in the premier league time would be against him.
Mike stands for everything that is good about football, his manner and the way he puts things across to the youngsters was superb ! He gave up his own time and travelled to Morecambe at his own expense. We at Bare Rangers FC will not forget his kindness and enthusiasm and we look forward to welcoming him back in the New Year. Thanks again Mike and boys Nathan and Ryan
