Wanderers' shock win over Manchester United at Old Trafford has earned Sam Allardyce and his team the Scottish Mutual Performance of the Week award.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson joined Howard Wilkinson and Dave Bassett on the panel which chose the 2-1 derby victory ahead of Liverpool's 4-1 win - including a Robbie Fowler hat-trick - at Leicester, and Spurs' 2-0 win at Newcastle.
Allardyce, who celebrated his 47th birthday the day before the triumph, has now collected three of the awards - run by the League Managers' Association - following Wanderers' 5-0 opening day win at Leicester and 2-1 victory over Liverpool nine days later.
