Wanderers backroom staff will play a dual role when they take part in a charity truck pull tomorrow.
They will not only be flexing their own muscles but also making sure the other teams do not damage theirs.
The willing Wanderers, including club physician Dr Tim Weighman, strength and conditioning coach Mark Howard, and physios Faz Page, Steve Foster and Andy Barr plus a couple of members of the De Vere Whites Hotel staff will offer to warm up any competitors who request their help.
But when the serious business starts, they will be as competitive as anyone.
The event on Car Park E at the Reebok, sponsored by local based company Georgia-Pacific to raise funds for the Bolton Children's Hospitals Appeals Trust, will involve teams pulling a 7.5 tonne curtain-sided vehicle a distance of 150 feet within a two minute time period.
The truck pull will opened by Wanderers' club mascot, Lofty The Lion, and kicks off at 11am.
Mike Whitlow will present the prizes.
