ADVENTURER Eddie Corley was on the trail of the ancient Incas in the Peruvian Andes, but instead he found the trail of the awesome Trotters at 11,000ft.
During his dream holiday to Peru, Eddie, aged 64, of Bradshaw Brow, Bradshaw, was on holiday high up in the Andes, in the ancient capital of the Incas, when to his amazement he saw a Bolton Wanderers scarf hung on a wall.
He stayed in Cusco, the former capital, and he got a bit of a shock when he visited a bar called the Cross Keys.
Wanderers fan Eddie said: "To my delight in pride of place in the middle of a wall of football memorabilia was a Bolton Wanderers scarf."
Eddie, who works in engineering, had gone to Peru to see the "lost" city of the Incas --Machu Picchu. And he was so pleased to see the scarf, he donated his own Reebok shirt.
He said: "I realised a lifetime ambition when I saw the lost city of the Incas, but the sight of the Wanderers scarf on the pub wall, thousands of miles away, high in the Andes ran it a very close second."
