YOUNG achievers Emma Young and Chris Poole were given the red carpet treatment at Bolton Wanderers in an exclusive tour of the Reebok Stadium -- by their VIP guide, player Mike Whitlow.
The two teenagers were celebrating gaining their Youth Achievement Award and were given a tour of the Whites ground as a bonus prize.
It is believed the two are the first members of the Bolton Young Persons' Housing Scheme to gain the award.
The charity scheme, set up in Bolton 10 years ago, provides homeless people aged 16 to 25 with shelter and support.
Emma, aged 17, said: "The scheme has really given me confidence and it has been great seeing behind the scenes at Bolton Wanderers. It's been a lovely day."
Chris, also 17, is now hoping to start work for a voluntary group in Manchester called Yippee which provides help to youngsters involved in drugs.
He gained his award for his study of young people and drug abuse.
Wanderers central defender Mike Whitlow presented the two with their awards and said: "People put a lot of hard work into this sort of thing and it is good that I can give back just a little time to give them recognition."
