A Horwich man has been appointed as an independent agent for city2U, a Government-approved learning provider for the European Computer Driving Licence.
Mr Robert Mills, of Stoneycroft Avenue, covers the North-west.
The internationally-recognised ECDL is specifically designed for people who want to improve their computer skills even without prior IT knowlege.
Eighty per cent Government grants (worth £200) are available to business, schools and the public.
The seven courses are available on a fully-interactive voice-over CD-Rom, making it easy for people to study in their own time at their own pace in the comfort of their own home.
Rochdale-born Mr Mills, aged 58, was educated at Bolton School and went on to be a management trainee with Warburtons bakery, ending up on the sales side of the business.
After leaving the bakery trade he spent some years in the sales industry and owned several businesses in the Bolton and Horwich area.
Anybody interested in ECDL can contact Mr Mills on 01204 692787.
