Dunn the best FORGET Kevin Nolan, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick and Ashley Cole - David Dunn is the best young player in the country, according to John Barnes.
The former Liverpool and England winger believes the 21-year-old Ewood Park star will be a superstar but thinks next year's World Cup will come too early for him.
"He's the best young player we have," Barnes said.
And, referring to the youngster's England future, he added: "The World Cup may come a little too soon for him but he definitely is one for the future. He will definitely make the grade sooner or later."
Duff injury setback top
Blackburn have revealed Damien Duff will definitely miss Monday's home game with Leicester
having failed to recover from his hamstring injury.
It was thought the Republic of Ireland international would return to the
Rovers starting line-up but Graeme Souness will not risk him against
The Foxes.
Duff has not featured since being substituted in the 1-0 win over
Everton in mid-September and is still struggling with the problem.
Rovers were hopeful he would return to action for the televised clash
but his absence means he will now have to wait for the trip to
Southampton next week.
Tony Parkes said: "Damien is still not ready and he continues to be
worried by a slight hamstring problem.
"We don't want to take chances on his fitness because there is still a
long way to go this season.
"We are really looking for him to be fit for our next game. If he isn't,
we will then have to take things from there and look at the situation
with the Republic of Ireland World Cup play-off."
