IF you would like to learn how to cycle safely, Pathways in co-ordination with the road safety team are running a "Safe Cycling Course" during the half term holidays.
Two sessions will be running per day from 9am to 11am and 1pm to 3pm from Monday, October 22, to Thursday, October 25 at St Ethelbert Primary School, Melbourne Road, Deane.
Everyone is welcome, and you do not need to have a cycle because they will be provided along with helmets and pads.
On Thursday, October 25, at Quebec Street Recreation Zone at 3.15pm there will be a presentation to award three local community groups.
The Willows Resident and Community Board, The Wellfield Group and Deane Neighbourhood Residents Association will receive new BMX bikes and equipment, as part of the Pathways initiative.
For further information on any of the above events contact Pathways on 01204 334020/1.
