PILATES is now available at Kearsley Leisure Centre every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 7.15pm, and at Hayward Leisure Centre on Tuesdays from 8pm to 8.45pm at only £3 per session.

Pilates is a set of principles and corrective exercises which combined work the whole body, co-ordinating the upper and lower muscles to improve strength, flexibility, posture and co-ordination.

The exercises are performed with bare or stocking feet on a mat standing up. There are several versions of each exercise taught to ensure that there is a level suitable for the way you feel. Pilates workouts leave your body feeling refreshed and relaxed, although its effects are more than just physical, the method will leave you feeling revitalised, confident and invigorated.

Its focus is on correct movement quality and not quantity which gives you a balanced strong and supple body with a flat stomach and firmer buttocks.
