HUNDREDS of people joined in the Victoria Hall's 101st anniversary celebrations when the modern musical New Creation was performed.
The United Christian Singers were joined by Eccleston Good News, Hillside Singers from Haslingden and the Leicestershire United Benefice choirs to form a mass ensemble of 220 singers along with composer and narrator the Rev Brian Hoare. Guest soloists were Angela Rowley (soprano), Chris Goddard (contralto), David O'Brien (baritone) and Graham Ashcroft (tenor), who with the choir, were accompanied by Geoff Ogden (piano) and Martin F Colam (keyboard).
