CONCERNED councillors will write to airport chiefs outlining their worries over low-flying aircraft.
Members of Westhoughton Town Council say they are becoming increasingly concerned over a growing number of aircraft overhead.
Councillors agreed that they should send a letter asking how the area could be affected by more and more aircraft flying at low altitude.
The Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Brian Clare, speaking at last night's town council meeting, said: "I don't want to be alarmist, but we have seen an increase in these very large planes flying over head at a low altitude."
The council agreed a letter should be sent to Manchester Airport, asking them to answer their concerns.
