THREE men have been charged with a public order offence after a teenage bride from Bolton was allegedly abducted in Carlisle.
Her husband, Mohammed Naveed, aged 20, and Shakeel Ahmed, aged 20, both from Bolton and Sahir Khan, aged 24, from Slough, are accused of disorderly conduct.
The 18-year-old Asian woman was walking through Carlisle town centre when she was allegedly pulled into a Vauxhall Cavalier on Saturday, October 20. A search was launched across Cumbria, police and neighbouring forces, and the car was found at Killington Lake services on the M6 three hours later.
The three men returned to a Carlisle police station yesterday to answer their bail and were charged with the section five public order offence.
They are due to appear before Carlisle magistrates on Thursday.
