TICKET fraudsters at the Reebok are on borrowed time after an investigation by Wanderers officials.
Checks have revealed that a number of adult fans have deliberately bought juvenile season tickets and have got away with the scam for the first five home fixtures of the Premiership campaign.
Each fraud costs Wanderers around £200.
Now, with the help of the revolutionary Teamcard system that was introduced at the start of the season, the club is to clamp down on the fraud.
Fans will be monitored at Saturday's home game against Everton and adults carrying juvenile tickets will be given the opportunity to upgrade. Those who refuse will have their season tickets revoked.
Wanderers Chief Executive, Allan Duckworth said: "The Teamcard system has highlighted that we do have a problem in this area with a small number of cards. All adults should hold full adult season tickets and those who have gained access to the ground with juvenile tickets will be refused entry.
"We will be investigating this further over the course of the next few matches and those who are found to be holding incorrect tickets will be asked to upgrade. If they do not co-operate their season tickets will be withdrawn.
"This is a matter which we are taking very seriously as it is essentially ticket fraud and is unfair on those who have paid the correct price."
