THE BEN Naps teams that decided to play safe came off the best at the weekend.
With the Newbury card abandoned because of a waterlogged track, the attention switched to Doncaster but those looking for long-odd winners to try and snatch a top place were disappointed.
Of the seven races, five were won by either the favourite or second favourite and although that helped current leaders Handicap Four, who backed 11-2 Scorned in the fourth race to increase their lead to £14. there was little luck for any one else.
The only two winners to provide decent odds were Fantasy Believer and Cowboys and Angels.
Fantasy Believer was a 10-1 winner for Jimmy Fortune - but no teams backed it. Cowboys and Angels came in at 8-1 but only two teams made it their selection. It helped Judith's Jockies to move back into profit but Iron Men, who also made it their selection, are still £4.50 in the red.
Remember, those teams who finish in profit are automatically entered into next year's competition.
