Ramsbottom United 5 Gt Harwood Town 0
THE Rams obliterated rumours of lack of confidence with a stunning home derby win.
Two first half goals from Jamie Taylor on eight minutes and Russell Brierley on 26 set the Rams up for a much-needed victory. Taylor produced a delightful floated shot over the keeper for the second on 49 minutes and after Brierley had put in the fourth on 56 minutes was fouled in the penalty are and saw his strike partner complete his hat-trick with the spot kick. Keeper Alan Fairbrother had an excellent debut but it was Taylor who took the star player vote.
