DEFENDING champions Charnock Richard made their tournament intentions clear at Atherton Collieries as they raced into the last four with a 5-1 thrashing of Eagley.
Charnock stamped their authority on the tie when Nick Vosper's looping cross-shot found its way past Lee Bonney and the lead was doubled as Andy Taylor notched a vital second.
Eagley pulled a goal back through Carl Banks but the outstanding crowd of 200 plus hardly had time to draw breath before Charnock's Andy Roberts and Damien Dashti completed the rout.
The tournament - in association with the Bolton Evening News - is set to continue tomorrow when Prestwich Heys and Blackrod Town met at Atherton LR's Crilly Park, kick-off 7.30.
