A FORMER Tyldesley man was committed by Rochdale magistrates to stand trial at the Crown Court on charges of theft and the assault of a Middleton pharmacist and the pharmacy supervisor during which a shop display was pulled down.
Liam Thomas O'Reilly, aged 26, of no fixed address and formerly of Crawford Avenue, Tyldesley, is accused of the theft of shower gel belonging to Lloyds Pharmacy at Middleton, damaging a ceiling tile, assaulting supervisor Mrs Christine Whittaker to prevent lawful detention and assaulting pharmacist Mr Shakeel Ahmed.
O'Reilly, who was remanded in custody, will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, on November 23. There was no application for bail.
