WITH regards to your story in the BEN on October 27 "Shock Rise in Claims Against the Council." I feel it is only fair to try and point out why some tenants have had no other alternative but to seek, and take, legal action to have our homes repaired.
My home featured in the BEN on two occasions over a period of two years. My family was re-housed on medical grounds. I have asked many times in a police and courteous manner, but our plight has been ignored.
Fully justifiable complaints via their complaint procedure of some two years ago have and are still ignored.
If I break the law I expect to be punished and so should the council.
