Kim Lee trebled for Farnworth in their 5-4 win over Ramsbottom B, as did Ron Pennington for Hilton A, who beat Horwich Sports 7-2. Three wins for Phil Biggs who is unbeaten so far this season, and John Hilton on his first appearance, helped Horwich/Hilton A to their 7-2 win against Wharton.

Nomads a have a 12 point lead at the top of Division One, their 6-3 win at Heaton B included a treble by Top Ten leader Craig Johnson. Dave Ajeto trebled for the team in second place, Little Lever B, who won 5-4 at Horwich/Hilton B.

Trebles by Brian Doxey for Wharton, who won 5-4 against Ladybridge A, and by John Bradbury for Wingates, who beat Chorley Old Road 6-3. Nigel Shields scored a treble for Horwich/Hilton C, but his team lost 6-3 at Heaton A.

Division Two leaders Wingates B maintained their impressive form with a 7-2 win against Black Dog, trebles in the match for joint Top Ten leaders Hannah Roberts and Greg Lee.

Hilton C won by a 6-3 scoreline against Ladybridge D, which included a treble by Brian Hall. John Kofi scored three wins for Farnworth, but his team went down 6-3 at Ladybridge E.

The Hilton J team of Neil Dunn, Malcolm Wilcock and Stephen Ross scored maximum points against Ellesmere C, to move into second place in Division Five, seven points behind the leaders Hilton I, but with a match in hand.
