SIMON Charlton is hoping the early diagnosis of the injury that forced him out of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Everton will prove accurate.
"I don't think it's too bad," the in-form Wanderers' full-back said as he hobbled out of the Reebok. "We've had a look on the scanning machine and it doesn't look like there's any serious damage.
"Fingers crossed it will be okay in a couple of days."
Charlton was unable to continue after taking a blow on the back of his left leg in a collision involving stand-in keeper Kevin Poole and Everton striker Thomasz Radzinski just seven minutes into the second half. "I've no idea who it was who caught me," he admitted, "but it just seized up."
