A BOY aged 14 died when he crashed a car during a police pursuit which started in Bury.
Craig Whelan, aged 14, of Helensville Avenue, Salford, was killed when the Reliant Rialto he was driving hit a sign on the slip road of the M60 at junction 15.
He was originally spotted by police officers driving down Rochdale Road, in Bury, at 12.38am on Saturday. They suspected he was not wearing a seat belt.
The incident has been referred to the Police Complaints Authority.
