A TEENAGE boy was injured after falling 10 feet from a window of a blazing Little Hulton house.
The 13-year-old boy, who lives at a local children's home, is believed to have been among a group of around 20 youths playing in the derelict semi-detached house in Ladywell Avenue.
The fire started at about 9.15pm on Saturday and firemen arrived on the scene to find the injured boy outside the boarded up house.
It is not clear whether he fell from the bedroom window or jumped to escape the flames.
But his fall was broken by shrubs and a metal security grill which had previously been ripped off a downstairs window.
The boy was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from concussion and a suspected broken wrist.
Police are investigating the incident and the fire, which caused extensive damage to the rubbish filled house.
A spokesman for Salford Social Services confirmed that a young boy in their care was injured at the weekend.
"We will be looking into the circumstances of what happened." he said.
